Club Capacity & Workforce Development Grants The Club Capacity & Workforce Development Grants are an initiative of the Community Cricket Program: On Common Ground a significant four-year partnership between Cricket Victoria, Cricket Australia and the Victorian Government to support cricket participation growth in Victoria. Victorian cricket clubs and associations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 that aim to assist with the maintenance of cricket facilities, support participation growth and develop the growing base of volunteers and administrators that manage clubs and associations across Victoria. Applications close Sunday 6th August 2017 For more information please click here Pitch Preparation Day for Curators Sports Turf Association Victoria will be hosting a Pitch Preparation Day for volunteer and professional curators on Tuesday 12 September 2017. Hosted by experienced turf educator and curator John Shannon, the one day course will be held at Melbourne Grammar School's Edwin Flack Park, Todd Road, Port Melbourne from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Furthermore, we would like to remind all teams of Cricket Southern Bayside Clearance Procedures(here). We ask that you all take the time to refer to this rule and note the guidelines you must follow when registering a new player for the 17/18 season. Covers requirement for the 2017/18 season Just a reminder that all ovals require covers for the 2017/18 season, as per Rule 17.5. This is now mandatory across all clubs and failure to comply with this may lead to a loss of points and a fine. Note that lower XI ovals only require minimum size of 3.96 X 27.43 metres. Media Intern joins CSB CSB is pleased to welcome Dale Atkins as its newest team member. As part of Cricket Victoria’s relationship with Holmesglen Institute, Dale has joined us until mid-October as a media intern. Dale will be assisting the team in developing a range of web content (inc. preseason previews & player behaviour videos) during his time with CSB.
