Date of Event : Wed Jul 26, 2017 4:02PM

Changes to Working with Children Act

As of Tuesday 1st August 2017, tighter guidelines will apply to the working with children act.

The Royal Commission’s recommendations are designed to further strengthen the protection children receive.

As advised by Cricket Victoria, Cricket Southern Bayside is making a copy of the Guidelines available on its website, and requests that all member clubs make this same document available to your members through your club website. You should communicate the changes to your members, ensuring that those who are required to obtain a check do so.

For further information and actions for your club click here to visit the Cricket Victoria website.

BlueQ

Following on from the information regarding the Working with Children check, Cricket Southern Bayside will continue its use of the BlueQ system for the compliance rates of clubs and umpires.

Further information on how to update BlueQ will be issued to clubs shortly.
