Expression of Interest to play for CSB in the National Indoor Cricket League
Date of Event : Tue Jan 30, 2018 2:11PM

Cricket Southern Bayside is seeking expressions of interest from cricketers in forming 1 or 2 male and female teams to participate in this years National Indoor Cricket League.

The National Indoor Cricket League is played between April and August.

Teams compete regionally and by winning the region can progress through to the National Finals. (3 Victorian rounds are live streamed and received 375,00 views last season).

CSB believes the NICL is a great opportunity to expose the CSB brand nationally and provides an opportunity for cricketers to keep playing during the “offseason”.

We require a minimum of 12 players per team to be listed (8 players per match), a team manager and coach.

Matches will be played predominantly in the South East with an occasional match in Croydon.

- Female matches are played mainly on Saturday morning/early afternoon.
- Male matches are not yet locked away but in the last season consisted of Friday nights and Sunday evenings.

The teams will likely play 10-12 regional fixtures (subject to final competition team numbers).

Dependent upon sponsor involvement each team member may be required to pay approximately $125 to participate. The cost will cover the uniform and all match expenses including insurance.

CSB is intending to find a sponsor to eliminate this cost but cannot guarantee it at this time.

Travel to National finals comes at a cost to the players.

Any national prize money won by the team will be shared by CSB with the team to recompense travel costs etc, details are to be finalised

National winners receive $10,000 in prize money.

CSB is required to confirm its participation in February with Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia and to complete registrations early March.

Information Session
CSB will hold an information session/forum on Wednesday 14th February at Bentleigh RSL at 7:00pm to provide all details and answer any questions.

Following the forum, CSB will review the level of interest and decide whether to proceed.

Dependant on numbers a trial day may be required to be held in March to finalise the team lists.

If you are interested in learning more then please register your interest below before the 9th February
