Meet the CSB Board

Cricket Southern Bayside is overseen by an independent board of directors, consisting of 6 elected directors and up to 3 appointed directors.

Elected directors are nominated and voted on by member clubs and serve rotating 3 year terms for a maximum of 3 consecutive periods. The board is then able to appoint on an annual basis 3 further directors based on skills and competencies.

The board operate under a constitution designed to follow the key principles of governance as advised by the Australian Sports Commission and aligned to the Consumer Affairs Victoria model rules for Incorporated Associations. The constitution was prepared by legal firm Lander & Rogers and adopted by the founding member clubs at an Extraordinary General Meeting in 2016.

Iain Giles - Chair

Iain was elected Chair of CSB following the 2021 AGM having spent the last 3 years on the CSB Board as a Director and responsible for Junior cricket. Iain is well known across the local cricket region with 13 years Community Cricket Club administrative experience including being a Life Member East Malvern Tooronga Cricket Club where is was both on the Committee and Junior Coordinate, being President and Life Member of ISEC, Chairman and founder of the AGCC, Director on Inner South East Scorpions Regional Board, Vice President of Prahran CC and a Cricket Victoria Delegate. Having played both Premier Cricket in SA and Community Cricket in Melbourne, he brings both on and off field experience into the role.

Away from cricket Iain has held Senior Executive positions across both Listed and Member Based Organisations, both in Australia and Asia, successfully building and growing sustainable commercial outcomes across diverse business and regulatory environments. A member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and the Kingston Heath Golf club, Iain brings both commercial and practical experience to the CSB Board.

Rosalinda Batson - AGG Chair

Rosalinda (Ros) has been a Director at Neural Networks Consulting since 2001. She is an experienced Organisation Development consultant, specialising in corporate culture, leadership development, executive recruitment and executive coaching. As one of the world’s leading experts in Emotional Intelligence she consults to ASX, large corporates and government, satisfying a curiosity and desire to engage with inspired leaders.

An experienced community cricketer having played for South Caulfield, Middle Park and Moorabbin Park earlier in her life, she recently enjoyed playing a couple of seasons with Carnegie CC in the CSBW. Ros is Junior Coordinator and a premiership coach for Washington Park CC. Currently Chair of the All Girls Cricket Competition which is heading into its 9th season and provides the opportunity for 500+ girls to play cricket in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Tim Boyce - ISEC Chair

Tim has had a long involvement in Community Sport, originally with Glenburn Tennis Club where he served on various committees for over a dozen years. He was a coach and Junior Committee member at Mount Waverley CC before becoming Junior President, a role he held for 5 years in a period where the club was able to grow its junior teams from 8 to 20. He also dabbled with playing in one of the Mount Waverley Veteran’s teams, with moderate success.

Tim is a Life Member of ISEC. He initially became Treasurer of SD&CCL, then Vice President when ISEC was formed. Tim was part of the CSB/ISEC integration team that facilitated the initial integration vote by ISEC clubs and became President in 2019/20. His business, Strategic Property Partners, is a sponsor of Prahran CC where his son James plays. Tim is a CA whose career started at PwC and was followed by a long stint at Coles Group where he was Director of Property.

Chris Hall - CSB Men’s Competition

Chris has been an active member of the CSB community since it’s inception, having played a key part of the working management group that set up CSB in 2017. 

Chris has been a professional cricket coach for 25 years & has nearly 2 decades of knowledge & experience in managing cricket facilities & retail stores.

Chris is involved in cricket 24/7 through Bayside based cricket equipment & cricket technology business Cricket Performance Lab as well as the World's First Cricket Athlete Management System App - PER4ORM Cricket

He’s still playing in the Championship Division of CSB as Coach of Beaumaris Cricket Club & has been on the Committee for 4 years prior to being elected to the CSB Board.

On top of his community cricket insights Chris also brings Premier Cricket knowledge  from his time as an assistant coach with Frankston Peninsula and Captain/Coach of Casey South Melbourne in the last decade. 

Away from cricket (which is rare!) Chris is a passionate St Kilda FC supporter, netball Dad, cheerleading Dad & tech nerd

Graeme Cunnington - Finance

Graeme is an ANZ Bank Finance Executive - Wealth Solutions and Partnerships, formerly Head of Finance Corporate & Commercial Banking ANZ and Acting CFO ANZ Bank Australia. He is a Life Member of the Parkdale United Cricket Club where he was President for 14 years having also held the roles of Secretary and Treasurer, is a current general committee member, and played for the club from 1978/79 – 2008/09 clocking up some 219 games. Graeme has also been Vice President and Treasurer at the Mordialloc Braeside Junior Football Club and was made a life member there in 2013. Graeme has also held the position of board member of Region 15 (South East Breakers) a role he held 2012-17.

Clare Haysom - Umpire Management Group

Clare is a high school physics and science teacher at Scotch College, whilst also running her netball club in the winter season and playing in two different netball competitions. She has being umpiring for CSB in the 2019-2020 season starting in the men's 3rds, and CSBW games including the CSBW finals. Last season Clare umpired championship Men's games and the CSBW finals. AS recognition of her success Clare has been invited to umpire with the Cricket Victoria Premier Cricket panel. 

Clare’s has been playing cricket for 9 years, including school, junior cricket at Box Hill and now women's community cricket at Monash Uni CC. She was also the captain of the Monash Uni CC Women's 2XII in the 2019-2020 season.
