About Us

Welcome to the All Girls Cricket Competition (AGCC)! The AGCC was launched in 2013 to provide girls a junior competition in the South East suburbs of Melbourne when previously the only opportunity to play cricket was in mixed teams with boys. While many of our current players still enjoy playing junior cricket in mixed teams, the participation by girls in cricket is growing and we at the AGCC bring all these girls together.

The AGCC was grown from the heart and embraces the spirit of the game with participation, having fun and building skill as our foundation. The girls learn how to be a valued member of a team, develop a deeper love of the game while creating a proud community with other players and their families.

Whether you discovered cricket by watching the WBBL, playing at school or through one of the learn to play programs, we welcome you to the All Girls Cricket Competition.

 History

The All Girls Cricket Competition’s inaugural season was in 2013 thanks to the efforts of Iain Giles (Former ISEC President and Current CSB Chair), Libby Nicholls, Neil Daly and Cricket Victoria. With support from East Malvern Tooronga, Bentleigh ANA, Toorak Prahran and Mt Waverley cricket clubs, they created a competition just for girls, that included participation from 4 clubs, totaling just 47 players for the 2013/14 season.

We are indebted to their hard work and persistence as the competition continued to grow over the following years. We are pleased to be working with Cricket Southern Bayside and Cricket Victoria to continue to grow this junior competition and have more girls participating in the great sport of cricket.

As Female sport continues to gather momentum in both the professional and community spaces, we intend to continue our journey to provide Girls within the Bayside Region an inclusive, welcoming and community focused competition.
